Boulder launches new city website

[ad_1]

Boulder on Monday officially launched its new website, which the city began testing last fall.

Among other things, the new website is meant to be user-centric, intuitive and visually more appealing than the previous version, presented by Boulder in 2013.

The redesign of the website has been in the works for several years, and city staff “have checked, consolidated and revised more than 5,500 web pages up to 1,000 as part of the process,” according to city information.

We have created our website in a new way that strives to organize services and information in a way that is intuitive to community members and not based on departmental structure. This reflects our commitment to making government more accessible, City Manager Nuria Rivera-Vandermyde said in a press release.

The new website organizes information by services, projects and news. It allows users to filter, sort and search for popular content, and has a new tool called Boulder for Me, which helps Boulder residents connect with the services they can receive.

On average, the Boulder website receives approximately 1.5 million visitors and 7 million page views annually.
