For music creators, Boss is a name synonymous with quality musical accessories such as synthesizers, amps, pedals and more. Now the Roland-owned company can also boast an internal electric guitar that has its own built-in synth and other features that will make you drool.

Dubbed the EURUS GS-1, the guitar has a built-in polyphonic Boss synthesis engine with a range of analog-flavored tracks, accessible at the flick of a switch. All synth sounds respond to guitar note techniques, with no latency or trigger issues.

Elegant shape with functionality in abundance

The guitar has an elegant alder body frame with a matte black finish highlighted by the Eurus humbuckers on the bridge and neck sections. This is also featured on the Gotoh tremolo bridge, a 5-way blade switch and volume / tone knobs. The sexy frame leads to the 25.5-inch maple neck followed by the rosewood fingerboard.

The high-quality synthesis engine of the EURUS GS-1 is capable of producing the most natural sound quality and touch response. It has six built-in memories loaded with legible sounds and a synthesizer control knob for finer adjustments.

The musician can also program the guitar with personalized sounds thanks to Bluetooth connectivity in combination with the GS-1 Editor app available for Android and iOS platforms. This expands the possibilities for synth variations and tone adjustment useful for preparing for the big live performance.

Bluetooth pedal control

You can also connect the electric guitar to an EV-1-WL wireless midi pedal (via Bluetooth): it can change pitch bend, hold or filter depth with the toe switch. This can be done for up to two external footswitches, allowing for total hands-free control of the synth engine.

If the Eurus GS-1 is already on your wish list, then it will be available just in time for the end of year holidays. It can be purchased for a price of $ 2,199.99 from October 2021, and if you want the wireless MIDI expression pedal, it will cost $ 149.99 more.
