Metal Church blames “Big Pharma” and “Failing Health-Care System” for Mike Howe’s death

[ad_1]

Earlier today, we learned that the death of Metal Church singer Mike Howe, who died on Monday July 26 at the age of 55, was deemed a suicide.

The group has since hit back at the report, which came in via TMZ, issuing a statement blaming Howe’s death for “failing health care” and “Big Pharma.”

The group’s new statement was released by Blabbermouth, although they did not cite any sources, and the statement does not currently appear on any of the group’s social media profiles. It says:

“If you knew Mike Howe then you knew he was a really good human being who loved his friends, his family and his many fans around the world. He would always go the extra mile to make someone feel good and he would always give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. We ask you to remember Mike this way and the amazing metal music he created.

“What really happened? He fell victim to a failing health system and subsequently poisoned by Big Pharma venom. In short and in substance, he fell prey to the real ‘Fake Healer’… enough said. #truth

“GodspeedMike Howe, WE LOVE YOU !!!”

I fully support the first part of the Metal Church statement even though I never knew Mike. It goes without saying, if you read MetalSucks regularly, that I also think America’s healthcare system is terrible, so I agree with this part as well.

But this is a very broad claim at the Big Pharma level – which, to be clear, I also think is about twisted leeches – and a nebulous “fake healer” without any specifics. Do they blame Howe’s treatment for an illness? Is this accusation related to the lack of mental health services in the United States? Do they believe the Covid-19 vaccine is responsible for his death? It’s just a very vague thing to post… maybe that’s why they finally pulled it down. And look, these guys are in mourning, so I’m absolutely willing to give them a lot of slack. But I hope to get some clarification on this issue in the future (when they’re ready, of course).

Howe held two positions as lead singer for Metal Church; from 1988 to 1995 and from 2015 to the present day.
