In media news today, Chris Cuomo remains silent on CNN about the explosive report on his brother’s sexual harassment charges, and further revelations come to light on the extent of Cuomo’s advice to his brother on the scandal.
Tara Reade, the former Senate employee who alleged last year that Joe Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993, hit back at White House press secretary Jen Psaki for claiming that the allegations made against the president had been “heavily argued” during the 2020 electoral cycle.
At Wednesday’s press conference, New York Post reporter Steve Nelson linked President Biden’s call to the resignation of Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo following allegations of sexual harassment against him to the list of the various allegations made against the Democratic candidate of the time. president, mentioning Reade by name as well as the group of women who accused the former vice president of unwanted touching.

“Should there be an independent investigation into the allegations against the president such as there were against Governor Cuomo?” Nelson asked.
“Well, first of all I would say the president was clear and frank about the importance of women being respected and having their voices heard and being allowed to tell their stories and treat people. with respect. This has long been its policy, continues to be its policy, ”Psaki replied.
Psaki stressed: “This was strongly contested during the campaign.”
Reade retaliated by writing “Not at all pleaded”.
“Ask Psaki: Did I miss the investigation and the litigation? I certainly didn’t miss the smears and attacks on my character during the Joe Bidens campaign when I came forward. Was it safe to come forward? “I don’t think so,” Reade also tweeted.

Psaki did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
This is not the first time Reade has challenged Psaki’s remarks from the White House podium.
Following the shocking Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling overturning disgraced comedian Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction, Psaki declined to comment on the decision herself at Wednesday’s press conference, but spoke of Biden’s activism in addressing violence against women as a nod to Cosby’s victims.

“The president has long been an advocate for combating violence against women,” Psaki told reporters in June. “To make sure that we are raising the voices and the stories of those who are survivors of sexual assault.
“It’s something [he] has done throughout her career and will continue to do so, ”she added.

In a statement to Fox News, Reade criticized Psaki’s comments.
“Psaki is speaking on behalf of the man who is now POTUS who sexually assaulted me and I’m sure she heard me,” Reade told Fox News. “She is complicit in the culture of rape by displaying her hypocrisy and the hypocrisy of the administration regarding the defense of women when they are the perpetrators.”

Reade, who wrote the recent memoir “Left Out: When the Truth Doesn’t Fit In” on her experience with her assault allegation, was one of eight women who came forward in 2019 to accuse the Democratic candidate of times of improper touching.
A year later, Reade revealed her sexual assault complaint on “The Katie Halper Show”. Biden has repeatedly denied his allegations during the election campaign.
