Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar has charged the rapper with multiple offenses under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. Delhi’s Tis Hazari court also sent the singer a notice and asked for his response. The singer was invited to file his response by August 28.

Singh and Shalini have been married since 2011. Before the duo got married, they had been in a relationship for over a decade. However, Singh did not confirm his marital status in public until 2014. The singer claimed he did not want his marital status interfering with his career. If reports are to be believed, it was around this time that Shalini was the victim of domestic violence at Singh’s part.

Shalini, in the recent past, made shocking allegations against Singh and his family. In her plea filed in Delhi’s Tis Hazari court, Shalini accused Singh of “beating her mercilessly”. She alleged that Singh believed she leaked their wedding photographs and later “freaked her out and beat her mercilessly.”

Shalini also accused Singh of having extramarital affairs with not one but several women. Further, she alleged that Singh had sex with one of his female colleagues while filming her popular song Brown Rang De. She claimed that when she confronted him, he “threw a blast at her. bottle of alcohol “.

Shalini also claimed that she had been subjected to numerous incidents of physical, verbal, mental and emotional abuse from Singh and her family. Shalini, 38, claimed Singh had repeatedly beaten her over the past few years, adding that she lived in constant fear as he and her family threatened her with physical injury.

She also asked the court to order the singer to pay rent of Rs 5 lakh each month for fully furnished accommodation in Delhi. Apart from this, Shalini also sought to “prevent the singer from selling or creating a third party interest in their common household and from selling her dowry items.”
