Jake Paul jokingly retired from boxing after Dana White criticized his level of opposition and claimed the YouTuber was losing his appeal.
I just don’t see that happening, White said of working with Jake Paul on the FULL SEND PODCAST. I don’t hate the child. Is he boring? Yeah, it’s boring. He’s trying to earn that money, and his lifespan is very short.
The media don’t really follow him as much as they did at the beginning, White added. The schtick is getting old. I think in order for him to get the media back he will have to fight someone. They are tired of the schtick. Hey, it’s me, I weigh 190, and I wanna fight these guys that weigh 170, 155, and they wrestle, and they’re 40 fucking years old, and they haven’t won a fight in three fucking years.
If he wants to be taken seriously now by the real media, I think he has to fight a real fight. (Transcribed by MMA Junkie)
Paul took to social media to respond to the whites’ comments and jokingly withdrew from the sport of boxing.
Dana White said this morning that I was losing my appeal and my lifespan was very short, Paul wrote on Twitter. Because of this, I gave up my life and am now an employee of my brothers’ company – Maverick Enterprises. Thanks everyone, it was a fun trip.

The 24-year-old then posted a video that compares the number of visits he gets on Google to that of UFC’s biggest star, Conor McGregor.
Paul is set to face former UFC champion Tyron Woodley on August 29. If he succeeds against The Chosen One, a fight with Tyson Fury’s younger brother, Tommy Fury, seems to be on the cards.
Do you think Jake Paul has a short lifespan in boxing?
