Miracles of money: lawyer fuming as police invite Apostle Suleman’s critic Israel Balogun

Fiery lawyer Inibehe Effiong has warned police against intimidation in the case involving his client Israel Balogun and Apostle Johnson Suleman.

In a statement sent to DAILY POST, Effiong said Balogun received an invitation from the Special Investigation Bureau, Force Intelligence and Criminal Investigation Department, police headquarters in Abuja.

The invitation signed by ACP YY Abubakar asked Balogun to appear for an interview on August 11, 2021 on alleged “criminal defamation and cyberstalking”.

This followed threats by lawyers against Suleman, founder of Omega Fire Ministries, over Balogun’s views.

The Citizen had criticized the cleric’s monetary miracles during his ministry in Atlanta, United States, and Auchi, Edo state.

The apostle Suleman ordered the angels to immediately send money to the faithful. DAILY POST watched a compilation of the videos.

In the United States and Nigeria, some worshipers have come out with their phones to show that they have received credit alerts – in naira and dollars – from angels commanded by Suleman.

But Balogun, one of those who insists the claims are false, has spoken out on the authenticity of the miracle funds.

Effiong said that as a true believer in the pure gospel of Jesus Christ, he found the attestation to be contrary to Biblical doctrines and the principles of Christianity.

“Enraged by our client’s views, Mr. Suleman asked his lawyers to write to our client to demand that our client apologize within seven (7) days.

“Although the letter from his lawyers is dated July 27, 2021, it was sent to our client via WhatsApp on August 3, 2021.”

Effiong said that an answer has been provided and that if Suleman decides to take civil action against Balogun, “we will be happy to meet him with his Angels miracle money in court.”

The lawyer told the public that just 24 hours after Suleman’s lawyers wrote to Balogun, he received the invitation from the police.

Effiong noted that while Balogun will honor the summons, the police should act professionally and respect their constitutional rights.

He urged the Inspector General of Police to save the country from the embarrassment and damage that police overzealousness can cause to the country’s image.

Pointing out that Nigeria faces serious financial and economic challenges, Effiong wondered why Suleman had not ordered the angels to help the nation with miraculous finances.

“The angels should credit the Federation’s account with sufficient funds to help the country meet its urgent financial obligations.

“We hope that God-fearing Christian leaders in Nigeria will have the courage to speak out against the desecration of their faith. The eyes of the nation and the world are on the Nigerian police, ”Effiong added.
