Britain’s Prince Andrew is not being investigated by London police over allegations of child sexual abuse linked to deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, authorities said Thursday.
City police clarified on Thursday that although they were reviewing files related to previous allegations against the prince, they were not currently pursuing an investigation. The Duke of York is facing a lawsuit in the United States over allegations of sexual abuse against Virginia Giuffre.
Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most vocal victims, claimed in Monday’s trial that she had been forced to have sex with the prince on several occasions, including at the London home of the partner of Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell. She also alleged that the Duke forced her to have sex with him when she was only 17 years old.
