SIOUX FALLS, SD MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, on the last day of his “cyber symposium” was unable to produce any hard evidence of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election. He attempted to dismiss the blame for his failed event on alleged anti-fa activists or, in fact, on “antifa things” that could not be found in this city of the Great Plains of 177,000 inhabitants.
The pillow mogul, alongside self-proclaimed “information warfare” expert Col. Phil Waldron, took to the main stage early Thursday to denounce the invisible opposition force which he says hijacked this event, which he promised for months would offer “absolute proof” that the election was stolen from Donald Trump.
“We’ve got some antifa stuff, or people who’ve sneaked in, they’re telling me this morning,” Lindell said. “I just want everyone to know how much evil there is. I’m fine. It hurts a little bit.”
“This is where our country started,” continued Lindell. “You take away freedom of speech. So they come after me. And they say, ‘Well, we’re trying to crush his company and take everything away from him.’ And then they go after [me] physically.”
It is unclear in what sense Lindell believes he has been deprived of freedom of speech, which he continues to exercise vigorously. He went on to say that he no longer had a bodyguard team to protect him, claiming he was “attacked” late Wednesday night outside his Sioux Falls hotel. He did not provide details and so far the alleged incident has not been independently verified.
“Now I have to go around with a bodyguard,” Lindell said. “And I don’t like bodyguards. I like having the American freedom to drive, to do whatever I want, not to worry, to be able to take pictures with people.”
The alleged presence of antifa was the subject of many rumors among the organizers and attendees of the Lindell Cyber Symposium, although no such radical infiltrator was visible at any time. A security guard at the Event Lindell, interviewed by Salon Tuesday afternoon about the abundance of security checkpoints, said there were concerns about “guns” and “antifa” being part of the rally.
On Thursday morning, Waldron claimed that “some really radical people outside [are] trying to penetrate “the event. No anti-fascist activists were visible outside the auditorium other than counting the three people singing gospel numbers.
Instead of “antifa” outside, only three people preached deeply, singing the gospels.
On Wednesday evening, the Washington Times reported that Josh Merritt, one of Lindell’s alleged electoral fraud experts, described Lindell’s data as “shit” that the IT team were asked to polish “to a diamond.” As of Thursday afternoon, Lindell had not released the 2020 election “packet catch” (PCAP) he had long promised, or any other hard data to back up his claims of systematic fraud.
