Sebastian Stan receives major criticism for his voice

Marvel Studios’ first animated offering What if …? kicked off its first episode this week with much fanfare from the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe community and it’s already safe to say that the studio has brought another one out of the park. The first episode was titled by Captain Carter who takes Steve Rogers’ place as the multiverse version of the Super Serum First Avenger.

After the episode was released, Atwell received a lot of praise for his voice in said series, but sadly the same can’t be said for Sebastian Stan. As good an actor as he is, many fans believe voice acting isn’t exactly his forte and they’ve made sure the world is aware of their respective opinions on social media. Taking to Twitter, fans of actor Winter Soldier strongly criticized his voice-over style which they said could take a lot of work. Check out some of the reactions below:

Personally, I don’t think Stan’s acting was to blame because it wasn’t as bad as some claim. I think the problem was the character it was given. For years, fans have grown so used to his brooding take on Bucky Barnes that seeing him suddenly joke around and become a more fun character is something I didn’t like too much and I’m pretty sure a lot. people share the same feeling. Was this a welcome change? Apparently not.

What if…? is already streaming on Disney +.
