Lizzo shared a tearful video revealing how she was bombarded with racist and humiliating abuse following the release of her new single Rumors with Cardi B.

Speaking to fans in a live Instagram video, the 33-year-old singer explained how all the racist and phobic comments hurt her.

People say bullshit about me, it doesn’t even make sense. It’s big phobic, it’s racist and it’s hurtful. If you don’t like my music, cool. If you don’t like the song Rumors, cool. But a lot of people don’t like me because of the way I look, she says.

For people who always have something negative to say about me, that has nothing to do with the music, or the content of my character, or me as an artist, and has everything to do with my body or any other trope you think I would fall into sucking my pussy from behind, she continued. Because all mothers are going to be the ones to catch up.

The Good As Hell singer has said she will focus on positive feedback from now on.

I don’t have time for your negativity, your internalized self-hatred that you protect me with your racism and your big phobia. I don’t have time for this. Either way, I will continue to be me. I will continue to be a bad b **** Lizzo said.

Later in her video, the singer also spoke on the subject of hatred against black women. She said: What I won’t accept is that you do this to black women over and over again, especially us big black girls.

When we don’t fit into the box you want us to put us in, you just unleash hatred against us. It’s not cool. I’m doing this shit for the big black women of the future who just want to live their lives without being scrutinized or boxed. I’ll never do what you want me to do, so get used to it, Lizzo added.

Many celebrities have shown their support for the singer of Truth Hurts.

Cardi B shared her co-singer’s video on Twitter with the caption: When you stand up for yourself, they claim your issue and your sensitivity. When you don’t, they tear you apart until you cry like that. Whether you are skinny, fat, plastic, they will always try to put their insecurities on you. Remember these are nerds watching the popular table.

Actress Jameela Jamil also shared her support by siding with Lizzos.

Lizzo is doing a song about people spending energy trying to bring down women. Twitter erupts abuse about her talent and especially her appearance, then she cries on IG Live while explaining how damaging this culture is, and she laughs at crying. It’s so fucked up, she wrote.

She added: When you pile up and enjoy the pain of a black woman literally trying to uplift others, not spending your time stacking up and chasing real abusers and predators, it doesn’t make you cool. . This highlights how unnecessary, irrelevant, and vicious a pig you are.
