Stephen A. Smith delivers scathing criticism of Steph Curry

Stephen A. thinks Steph should have been more involved in the KD and Draymond Green situation.

Recently, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green sat down for a conversation where they cleared up the air on their supposed beef. In 2018 and 2019, it was reported that Green and KD didn’t like each other, which ultimately led to Durant’s exodus from Golden State. As both players explained, the flaw wasn’t that big and it was the Warriors who made it worse.

Those comments got the NBA’s Twitter buzzing, and it also inspired Stephen A. Smith to deliver his own shot. In fact, Smith lashed out at Steph Curry, who was not brought up during the conversation. As Smith explains, Curry should have been a better leader, especially given the circumstances.

With all due respect, where was Steph Curry, the baby-faced assassin, the greatest shooter God ever created, the absolute superstar player for this team, the face of the franchise? Where was he in all of this? I found it very, very visible that Kevin Durant and Draymond Green never mentioned his name, not once, Smith said. The host of TheFirst Take certainly makes a good point, especially considering how Curry is supposed to be the leader of the team.

At this point, it seems clear that Steve Kerr and Bob Myers were thrown under the bus, which could very well have an impact on Green’s position with the franchise. Going forward, it should be interesting to see how this all plays out.
