COVID-19 vaccination, food rations and the $ 360 unemployment benefit are forms of assistance provided by the government to help Fijians.
Speaking on Radio Fiji One’s “Na Noda i-Lalakai”, Voreqe Bainimarama said the government would not be put off by criticism and even those who oppose the government will receive benefits.
With more help to come, Bainimarama says the FijiFirst government is keeping the word and keeping its promises.

For those of you who continue to criticize the government, here is how we do it, your comments will not disappoint. You keep talking, we will continue to work and we will never stop helping Fijians in need.
Bainimarama adds that attempts to discredit the government will not derail policies aimed at helping those affected by COVID-19.

We are working to make sure we deliver the best for every Fijian, the help so far is just one of the other help we have in place to provide in the months to come.
The government has also given time for some applicants for the $ 360 payment to be vaccinated instead of outright rejecting their application.

The help we have provided so far is another way for the government to encourage every Fijian to rise up, to know what you are capable of and to work for it.
Bainimarama says the aid should help Fijians get back on track and plan a secure future for themselves and their families in the face of COVID-19.
