Biden Continues To Advocate For Afghanistan Withdrawal Amid Management Criticism

President Joe Biden continued to defend the whole concept of his decision to withdraw from Afghanistan and make peace with the Taliban on Sunday as most of his US critics focused their anger on his handling of the situation rather than on the withdrawal itself.

At a press conference, the president addressed his administration’s continued criticism of the issue, which escalated over the weekend after an address on Friday in which Mr Biden appeared to deny many realities on the ground at Kabul.

While speaking to reporters on Sunday, Biden said America’s adversaries in Moscow and Beijing would have been the only real winners if the United States had committed to more years of war in Afghanistan.

“I think history will record that it was the logical, rational and fair decision to make,” Biden said.
