Davie Provan has revealed that Ryan Christie’s father Charlie had texted him angrily after questioning his son’s ambition to choose Bournemouth over a Celtic stay.
Christie has chosen to leave Parkhead on the deadline day for a trip south for the English Championship.
This drew criticism from Provan who claimed the Scottish cap may have chosen cash over the competition.
But Charlie Christie, who played for the Celts while Provan was at the club, was furious at his ex-boyfriend’s comments and let him know exactly how he felt.
Revealing that the two exchanged messages, Provan explained how he thought Christie might have chosen to play at a higher level than the second level after leaving the side of Angel Postecoglou.
