Donald Trump complained of being “fucked” by minority parliamentary leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) Because McCarthy initially blamed the ex-president for inciting the deadly riot on Capitol Hill, according to one new book.
Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Robert Costa wrote in their upcoming Trump White House speech, “Peril,” about how Trump turned on McCarthy by saying he was responsible for the violent incident.
“This guy called me every day, pretended to be my best friend, and then he fucked me,” Trump said, according to book excerpts published Tuesday by CNN.
“He’s not a good guy,” he added.
McCarthy has since reaffirmed himself as a staunch Trump apologist.
The book, slated for release on September 21, also claims that Trump threatened to refuse the friendship of then-Vice President Mike Pence for his refusal to disrupt the election certification process and the measures it was taking. the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Mark Milley, is said to have taken steps to stop Trump from going “thug” with nuclear weapons.
