God of War voice actor Kratos lags behind Ragnarok

Christopher Judge, the voice of Kratos, says God of War Ragnarok was delayed by Santa Monica Studios due to his rehabilitation after surgery.

Kratos voice actor Christopher Judge has revealed he’s the reason the game suffered internal delays after initially targeting a 2021 release date.

In a series of tweets, he explained the real reason for the game’s reprogramming, writing, “In my feelings right now. I need to be frank. It was not approved by anyone. For the beloved fandom, Ragnarok was delayed because of me. August 2019 I couldn’t walk. I had to undergo back surgery, replacement of both hips and knee surgery. They waited until I was in rehab… ”

The judge added that the company had shown him “nothing but love and support” during his recovery process from some traumatic injuries. He also praised the developers of God of War, saying, “Everyone involved in the GofW franchise puts their heart and soul into every frame you see.”

The judge said Santa Monica Studios had not publicly announced the delay or the reasons, allowing him to recover from his operation with peace of mind.
