Dundee United forwarded their findings to Scottish Police after completing their own internal investigation into allegations of racist abuse of midfielder Jeando Fuchs by a Ross County supporter.
The Cameroonian claimed the incident happened while celebrating United’s game-winning goal at Tannadice last Saturday. Full-time manager Tam Courts held up a “Show Racism the Red Card” t-shirt in front of visiting county fans.
Ross County insisted there had been no racist abuse, with manager Malky Mackay and general manager Stephen Ferguson both claiming United stewards in the podium confirmed he there had been no incident.
However, United have released an update after conducting their own “rigorous” investigation this week.
A statement on their website read: “Dundee United has conducted a rigorous and comprehensive investigation into the allegation of racial abuse against Jeando Fuchs and has also attempted to identify the person (s) responsible.

“Our findings have been conveyed to the FBCL and the Scottish Police and we await any further updates. We would like to thank the supporters of both clubs who have voluntarily come forward to provide valuable and meaningful detailed information about the incident. We also thank the match officials for their professional and compassionate handling of the incident.
“Jeando was visibly upset by what he heard and was fully supported by the club throughout the process. He would like to express his gratitude to everyone who supported him and his family.
“We find racism and all forms of discriminatory behavior towards players, staff, officials and / or spectators totally unacceptable and in any case when one of our players feels the need to address the bench and / or officials to complain about racist comments, we will investigate them fully.

“Dundee United will continue to fight racist behavior and use our privileged position as a leading community club to send the message that football is for everyone.
“Whether it’s getting down on the knee, educating through diversity training, supporting SRTRC’s month of action or just lifting a ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ t-shirt, we’ll do what we think we are fair to raise awareness that racism is just not acceptable. “
