Vasco: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday denounced the opposition for unnecessary criticism of his government. Speaking at the Government at Your Doorstep function held at the MES university campus in Zuarinagar for the four constituencies of Mormugao taluka, Sawant said: We can proudly say that all the programs introduced by the late CM Manohar Parrikar are working. 100% and benefit Goans. We seek to make Goa self-sufficient and enlist the help of Goans to help BJP put Goa on the path to development. He challenged opposition leader Digamber Kamat to list a project he presented as chief minister and which is still valid. The distribution of free water to Goans did not go well with Sudin Dhavalikar, and he took credit for it by saying he had adopted the proposal. I told him that if he had been in my shoes, Goans wouldn’t even have had water. Now he wants to start Rath Yatra. It is nothing but selfish politics, he said. Without naming TMC, Panchayat Minister and Dabolim MP Mauvin Godinho said: “There are such parties that come to Goa to contest the upcoming polls, whose culture is to stab and kill for political gain. Our workers must ask the people of Goa every time they campaign if they want such parties to come down to Goa which has violence as a culture. ”
