Aaron Ramsey absolved Danny Ward of any responsibility for his 2-2 Wales World Cup howler against the Czech Republic.
With the score 1-1 four minutes into the second half of an exciting Prague qualifier, Ward poorly controlled a back pass from Ramsey in front of his own goal.
The Leicester goalkeeper tried to remedy the situation but he hit the ball on a post and shoved it back for a goal against his odd side.
Wards’ blush was slightly spared when Daniel James accepted Harry Wilson’s pass to equalize superbly after 69 minutes.
The draw leaves Wales with hopes of securing second place behind runaway group leaders Belgium and a place in the World Cup qualifiers in March.
Danny was absolutely great for us, said Ramsey, who opened the scoring in the first half after 36 minutes before he was almost instantly knocked out by Czech Republic forward Jakub Pesek.
He made some really big saves throughout.

These things happen every now and then, but I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about there.
It’s one of those things and we’re glad it’s on purpose for us.
Ramsey had only played 105 minutes for Juventus in a frustrating injury campaign.
But the 30-year-old midfielder, who wore the Wales armband in the absence of Gareth Bales, played the entire game and impressed throughout the game as Robert Pages’ side created many opportunities at Sinobo Stadium.
The last 20 the legs were going a bit but we gave it all back, Ramsey told Sky Sports.
All credit to the guys we dug and got a result. We started off brilliantly and created a few opportunities.
It was just an end to end game and I think it was an entertaining game to watch.
We played exactly as we wanted. We were brave with the ball, played compact and looked to create some opportunities on the counterattack.
It was tough but we showed how resilient we are.

We could have taken a few more, but all credit for the guys playing in front of this hostile crowd.
The story continues
It was tough but we showed how resilient we are.
Boss Page expressed disappointment that Wales failed to secure the victory that would have taken them to second place, with the Czechs currently beating them on goal difference.
Page said: I thought the performance was great. We were disappointed that we didn’t win, but we controlled the game perfectly.

We have created some good opportunities and we could not have launched more.
Ward, who replaced Wayne Hennessey as Wales’ number one ahead of Euro 2020 this summer, was praised by Dragons fans at the final whistle.
Danny will be disappointed (own goal) and rightly so, said Page.
But hell bounced back and I thought it was a really nice touch for the fans at the end to do what they did.
The guys will gather around him and knowing him as a character it won’t be a problem for him.
