#EmptyShelvesJoe Trends, Conservatives blame Biden for shortages

As America returns to the pre-pandemic way of life, many wonder why they still see empty shelves and inflation.

Conservatives on social media have a theory: Blame President Joe Biden. So many people have tweeted about it that #EmptyShelvesJoe and #BareShelvesBiden have been trending on Twitter this week.

Some people have made good points, for example, by asking what will happen to heating oil prices in the winter. Others accentuated the dramaturgy or even seemed festive.

“How one man ruined the world’s most powerful nation in less than a year is remarkable. #EmptyShelvesJoe, ”Carmine Sabia tweeted.

#EmptyShelvesJoe is the Democrats’ plan to cancel Christmas! We must take back our country before it is too late! Who agrees ?!

Some commentators have followed Fox News expert Tucker Carlson’s lead in blaming Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Specifically, they took issue with Buttigieg taking paternity leave. He and her husband Chasten’s twins were born in early September.

Carlson mocked Buttigieg for taking paternity leave on his Fox News show.

“Paternity leave, they call it, trying to figure out how to breastfeed, no word on how it went,” Carlson said on the show.

Many people shunned Carlson, calling his comments and those of others on Buttigieg’s paternity leave homophobic and sexist.

“We need to normalize paternity leave,” Brady Quirk-Garvan tweeted. “It makes better fathers, better families and a better country. “

So what’s wrong with the supply chain? Amid continued shortages of some items, people are being warned that the Christmas shopping spree will cause further delays.

The shortages have several reasons, according to experts. Much of the problem simply comes down to two factors: how much Americans are consuming and the lingering effects of the pandemic.

Reuters reported: “Americans, already by far the biggest consumers in the world, simply bought a lot more things during the pandemic, much of which was imported. Add to that labor shortages, equipment shortages and a lack of space to store these things, nationwide. “

Many social media users have pointed this out to those who blame the Biden administration. They also noted that there had been many more shortages last year when Trump was president.

“What caused Biden to take office or the ‘supply and demand’ or the COVID economy? One tweeted.

“The people who were crying about #emptyshelvesjoe were totally okay with the empty shelves we had last year and have had since?” Hypocrisy knows no bounds, ”@boastfulbadger said.

Reuters reports that Biden has met with leaders of ports, unions and businesses seeking a solution to shortages and inflation.
