Another murder allegation surfaces against Govind Sahu

Balangir: Another murder allegation has surfaced against Govind Sahu, the main defendant in the Mamita Meher murder case, in the district of Balangir.

Mahaling Science College and Sunshine Public School president Govind Sahu is also believed to be behind the murder of a minor in 2000.

Motilal Nayak, former principal of Mahaling high school and resident of Balangir district, claimed he lost his daughter 20 years ago for opposing the illegal activities of Govind Sahu, who started his career as a entrepreneur in the region. His underage daughter was run over by a vehicle driven by Govind Sahu’s family on August 8, 2000.

“Govind Sahu killed my daughter, who was studying in grade 8, with the help of her brother. My little girl was hit by a tractor. I had lodged a complaint with the Kegaon police in this regard, but no further action was taken against the accused and his brother, ”Motilal told media today.

According to some reports, Govind Sahu blackmailed the JE and other officials in the region. Motilal Nayak, who was a teacher at the time, opposed his illegal activities. He became the target of Govind Sahu after his brother was elected a member of Samiti in the 1997 Panchayat elections, defeating a candidate backed by the latter.

In reaction, Govind allegedly set fire to an urn kept in the vault. To take the vendetta for election loss, he plotted a plot to kill Motilal’s daughter.

“The villagers had gheraoed the police station in protest against the incident. But nothing happened. The accused was convicted under Article 294 of the IPC and was subsequently released on bail, ”said the father of the girl who died.
