WASHINGTON, DC – US Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released the following statement after Biden-Harris officials criticized Israel for naming six groups that served as fronts to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in accordance with the 2016 Israeli Anti-Terrorism Law:
“This unwarranted and false criticism once again underscores the reflexive antipathy that President Biden’s State Department and Biden-Harris officials have for our Israeli allies. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine is an Iranian-backed terrorist organization that uses non-governmental organizations like these six groups to raise funds and launder money for its murderous activities. When an American ally blacklists groups facilitating terrorism against its citizens, the only appropriate response from American diplomats should be kudos and support. It is unacceptable but unfortunately quite credible that the Biden-Harris administration is using this incident as a pretext to criticize Israel.
