Strictly Come Dancing slammed for controversial format change

Strictly Come Dancing has been criticized by some viewers after the show aired a Halloween special this week.

The BBC’s hit dance show was back with the Saturday night special (October 30) with the judges and celebrities all putting their heads together in spooky costumes.

And while many viewers loved the Theme Week, others weren’t impressed with the usual change of schedule.

Claire wrote: “I don’t like Halloween strictly speaking. There I said it. I’m pretty sure it’s not an original tweet, I feel like I had this conversation l ‘last year.”

Kirsty Palmer agrees: “I really don’t like theme weeks. Sorry #Strictly”

Domain said: “I hate Halloween specials they are a little shit #strictly”

Amanda wrote: “I love Halloween week on #Strictly, but I know the VT segments before every dance are going to make me cringe so badly I’m going to want to put my eyes out to avoid seeing them.”

And Nickie added, “Urgh… all the ‘scary’ crap about #strictly is going to annoy me, right? The costumes and the dancing will be awesome though.”

However, other viewers loved the Halloween special.

Kate Johnson said: “Ah, #Strictly Halloween week, I missed you! The terrible VT acting was a hole in the program last year.”

Fiona wrote: “Ooooooh, Halloween Strictly! Yippeeeeeeee! #Strictly”

And Billy added, “I’m actually living for the #Strictly Halloween Special. I’m a loser.”
