Maria Shriver backs Chris Pratt after online criticism

Support family. After ongoing criticism following Chris Pratt’s online tribute to his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, his stepmother has shared her support for the Marvel actor.

“I want to remind you today how good a man you are,” Maria Shriver commented on her original Instagram post on Saturday, November 7. “What a grandfather you are to Jack [his son with ex-wife Anna Faris] and Lyla [his daughter with Schwarzenegger], what a big husband you are to Katherine [and] what a great son-in-law you are to me and what a great sense of humor you have !! “

The founder of the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement, 66, added in her post: “I love you Chris, continue to be your wonderful self, rise above the noise. Your kids love it [you,] your family loves you [and] your wife loves you. What a beautiful life, I’m proud of you xo.

The 42-year-old Parks and Recreation alum previously gave his wife an enthusiastic tribute on Wednesday, Nov. 3, writing: “Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find yourself someone.” one that looks at you like that !! You know !? We met at church. She gave me an amazing life, beautiful healthy girl, she chews so hard that sometimes I put on headphones to drown her , but it is love!

He continued at the time, “She helps me with everything. In return, periodically, I open a jar of pickles. It’s trading. Her heart is pure and it belongs to me. My greatest righteous treasure. next to my Ken Griffey Jr Upper Deck Rookie card. Which, if you know, says a lot. It’s his birthday in about 6 weeks. At the time, his better half intervened, commenting, “Oh wow. It’s only when I eat CEREAL but I love you,” while her brother Patrick Schwarzenegger added, “😂😍😂😍.”

Shriver first posted a sweet response from her, commenting, “It’s so sweet now, show us how you look at her” and “I couldn’t agree more! ❤️❤️.”

Shortly after Pratt posted his reflective Instagram post, several social media users began to criticize him, believing his post about having a “beautiful, healthy daughter” was a dig at Faris – with who he was married from 2009 to 2018 – and their 9-year-old son Jack, who was born with multiple health issues. Jack was born prematurely nine weeks earlier.

“He weighed three pounds, 12 ounces,” the actor recalled at the Hollywood Baby Dime March 2014 celebratory lunch. “Anna held him in her arms for a moment, then he s “made it to the NICU – the neonatal intensive care unit. Three pounds, 12 ounces. That’s a good sized bass. Very small for a human. He would need a lot. He had jaundice, so they blindfolded him and he slept underneath [a] scary light and he had a PICC line, which is an IV that goes up his arm into his heart. He had a feeding tube and just wires in and out, and he lived in this incubator. It was his first cradle.

He continued in his speech, “He was connected to these monitors and for us that meant the machine started beeping because he stopped breathing over and over again. … My little boy was laying on my neck and chest, feeling my heart beating and my love, and I played country music to him and I sang to him and made promises to him just about what kind of a dad I am wanted to be, and I just prayed that he would be here long enough and that he would let me keep him.

Faris’ name appeared on Twitter earlier this week in connection with her post.

A year after parting ways with Faris, 44, the Guardians of the Galaxy star then began dating the author of Gift of Forgiveness in 2018, a year after parting ways with Mom alum. After a whirlwind six-month engagement, the couple tied the knot in June 2019. They then announced that they were expecting their first child together in April 2020, and daughter Lyla was born four months later.
