Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk called Scott Galloway, speaker and professor of marketing, “insufferably numb” for suggesting that Musk had lost faith in Tesla’s valuation.
What happened: Musk made his comments after a Twitter user brought Galloway’s comments to his attention.
Doing the opposite of everything that insufferable numb person says would be a great way to invest!

Galloway, who took note of the exchange, responded by saying “Numbskull … better than pedo.”
Numbskull… better than pedo.
So we own a Tesla (Falcon Model X) and we love it. Great car, great company, and hard to overstate the impact you and your team have had on the world. I have already called you genius.

Galloway was referring to a July 2018 tweet in which Musk referred to a British diver involved in rescuing a Thai football team from a cave as a “pedo guy”.
The professor made a list of companies and said he didn’t believe it, nor did he think Musk thought Tesla was worth more than all of them together.
However, I don’t believe (and I don’t think you either) that Tesla is worth more than:
ToyotaDaimlerVolkswagenBMWGMFordFiat-ChryslerTataHondaFerrariHyundaiBoeingAirbusAmerican AirDeltaSouthwestJetBlue
Combined…

Why it matters: The Galloway-Musk episode took place after Musk conducted an online poll, asking his Twitter followers if he should sell 10% of his company’s holdings.
Galloway highlighted Musk’s comments at the code conference, where, according to the speaker, Musk said his tax rate was 53%.
I understand that you will soon have to exercise a significant number of options, which will trigger a taxable event. At #codecon you said your tax rate is 53%. I don’t see how this is possible as a (recent) resident of Texas.

In a series of tweets, Galloway lambasted Musk for abdicating his responsibility to Twitter and suggested he could have borrowed the entire amount at low rates to pay his tax bill.
You could just say, it’s time to diversify, I have to pay taxes etc. Instead, you abdicate responsibility for that decision to Twitter.

Galloway also strongly criticized Musk for his attack on Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.)
Did you really just say that? I thought I was high.
Boss, Senator @RonWyden’s father fled the Nazis. Senator Wyden was a varsity athlete and was 4x (re) elected to the greatest legislative body on this or any other planet.

The academician urged Musk to ditch slurs and ad hominem attacks in favor of “progress” and said the two had more in common than one might think.
So you have immense talent, resources and influence. And I have your attention.
How do you make lemonade (progress) from lemons (numbness of the skull, ad-hominem attacks)?
I think there is more that unites us, Elon, than that divides us.

Musk recently changed his Twitter nickname to “Lorde Edge,” which Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) co-creator Billy Markus says is an anagram of “Elder Doge”.
Price Action: Tesla shares on Friday closed nearly 0.6% lower at $ 1,222.09 in the regular session.
