Florian Neuhaus recently admitted falling down the pecking order at Gladbach has not been easy for him, stressing that he “had hoped for more support from the club” in his predicament.

Gladbach coach Adi Htter has now responded to Neuhaus’s statements, telling Westdeutsche Zeitung:

“I am not the club, I am the coach and I have to make decisions based on performance.

“Of course he has to stay calm and train. He has no other choice,” Htter added.

” What does he want to say ? Who did he mean? Of course, taking care of something like that is part of my job. We will discuss this internally when he comes back.

After starting the first five Bundesliga games of the season, Neuhaus has been left out of the starting XI for Gladbach’s last six league games.

Most recently, the central midfielder came on and scored in last week’s 1-1 draw against Mainz.
