ITV Coronation Street and Emmerdale fans flooded the channel with criticism after airing international football instead.
On Monday night, both soap operas were deleted as ITV broadcast England vs. San Marino instead.
Fans of the soap operas remained angry despite Harry Kane scoring four en route to a 10-0 Three Lions victory.

Maura Young fumed: “Why do you keep removing soaps for football, why can’t you put soaps or football on another channel?”
Jenny wrote: “Everything about football in the soap operas is canceled.
“Is it about time there was a separate ITV channel?” “
Edward Keith Pugh added: “Yes, a football channel is absolutely necessary immediately. !!”
Kim Carberry wrote: “Hmmf! There’s no # Emmerdale or #Corrie tonight. Stupid football.”
Sharon asked, “Why can’t @itv put football on @ itv2, we want #corrie and #emmerdale”
