Eichler’s is a well-known retailer based in Borough Park, Brooklyn, which sells books, Judaism, and gifts. A store of the same name is located in Flatbush, and Chaim Walder’s books are still available there at the time of writing.

Walder, who lives in Bnei Brak, is a well-known author who publishes literature for children and young adults in the ultra-Orthodox world, with his series Kids Speak (in Hebrew – Yeladim Mesaprim Al Atzmam) selling more than two million copies of his books in ultra-Orthodox communities across Israel and the Diaspora. The first book in the series became one of the five best-selling books in Israel of all time.

He has written over 50 books and is considered to have revolutionized ultra-Orthodox children’s literature, as his books allow children to express their thoughts and emotions aloud and focus on difficult and sensitive topics. . He also runs the Child and Family Center run by the Municipality of Bnei Brak, and is a certified counselor, working with children and young adults suffering from trauma and abuse.

However, he was accused of having had sexual activities with minors, two girls aged 12 and 15, with a third testimony accusing him of regularly raping a 20-year-old woman, his patient in therapy.

Walder has denied the allegations against him, and his attorneys have accused the charges of being “virtual blood libel” unrelated to “reality.”
