Even before the jury in his murder trial delivers a verdict, Kyle Rittenhouse is guilty, Rep. Hakeem JeffriesHakeem Sekou JeffriesRace is not at the center of the Rittenhouse case but the media still shouts him back in the spotlight MORE (DN.Y.):
Lock up Kyle Rittenhouse and throw in the key.

Judge presiding over trial backs Rittenhouse, says former Obama strategist and political consultant David AxelrodDavid AxelrodRace is not at the center of the Rittenhouse case but the media still shout David Axelrod calls Judge Rittenhouse “lawyer for defense on the bench ‘dark night for Democrats MORE:
This kid is very fortunate to be a de facto defense lawyer on the bench. https://t.co/CZnjqpkpfe

Oh, and the judge is also racist, according to the media:
Kenosha County Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder has been charged with making racist jokes and being biased towards the 18-year-old accused. https://t.co/ytrSPmikQB

Maybe the judge won’t be racist during the jury instructions.

Rittenhouse himself cried “white crocodile tears during the trial, according to MSNBC’s Joy Reid:
“The Rittenhouse murder trial was drama, with characters who are apparently meant to justify Tory worship of violent heroes. The Rittenhouses water system was a vital part of the act.” #ReidOutBloghttps: //t.co/RXtyprSmrT

And, Reid noted, his tears of white were like those of Supreme Court Justice Brett KavanaughBrett Michael Kavanaugh’s race isn’t at the center of the Rittenhouse case, but the media is shouting it anyway. ” PLUS Judge Kavanaugh at his confirmation of charges hearing:

AndRittenhouse is actually a white supremacist, according to then-presidential candidate and now President Joe BidenJoe BidenHouse Democrats are pushing the vote on the social spending plan to Friday.

It is disturbing that some in the media and in politics in a case involving a white man shooting three other whites are playing the race card at the bottom of the pack.
But while disturbing, it’s also not surprising to see the breed injected in this way, especially considering the fairly recent precedents in Virginia.
In the Commonwealth, education is what drove little-known Republican Glenn Youngkin Glenn Youngkin Race is not at the center of the Rittenhouse affair, but the media is still shouting it Youngkin says education can be a winning problem for the Republicans. victory over Clinton loyalist and former Democratic Governor Terry McAullife. The race started to turn in Youngkin’s favor when McAuliffe said parents shouldn’t “tell schools what to teach.”

The statement quickly woke up bear moms in suburban Northern Virginia, who belonged to Joe Biden in 2020 on their way to a 10-point victory in the state. Youngkin then captured the suburbs in part on this issue, which could serve as a preview of the red tsunami expected midway through 2022.
White voters placed Glenn Youngkin in the governor’s mansion, writes @IAmSophiaNelson in an op-ed.
The data is amazing: https://t.co/G7TEEock3O
Washington Post Opinions (@PostOpinions) November 18, 2021
White women: Trump 52% Youngkin: 58%
Suburb: T: 44% A: 49%
Rural area: T: 60% A: 63%
If the GOP is competitive in the suburbs, the D collapse in the rural areas is the kiss of death for them as a national party. The call D is more and more urban and liberal. That’s it.

In the process, Democrats now risk being identified as the anti-parents party. But it was more than just siding with the teachers’ unions when it comes to media coverage; some types of media couldn’t resist injecting race into their explanations of why Youngkin won in a Blue State despite the other big winner there, Republican Lieutenant Governor-elect Winsome Sears, who became the first black woman to win in a statewide competition there.
Various reasons for Glenn Youngkin’s “victory” in Virginia, including: 1. White supremacy is still very powerful but people want it in coded language while wearing a fleece2. The media hammered on the Democrats but gave Youngkin a pass on racist “critical race theory.” Democrats better counter the CRT BS!

NBC Nightly News ignores Youngkin’s campaign on kitchen table issues and suggests he was targeting racists by opposing CRT. Reporter @ ahylton26 repeated the LIE that the CRT had no influence in the Virginia school. They also ignored Winsome Sears winning the lieutenant governor. pic.twitter.com/thcUAAvlDu

The argument that white supremacy and racial resentment could not have helped Youngkin achieve victory in Virginia because Republicans elected a black lieutenant governor – Winsome Sears – is as compelling as saying that Trump didn’t isn’t racist because he made Ben Carson high as infrastructure talks suffered a setback PLUS its secretary HUD.
Mehdi Hasan (@mehdirhasan) November 3, 2021
“Here they want white supremacy through ventriloquism,” MSNBC’s Michael Eric Dyson said of Sears earlier this month. There’s a black mouth moving but a white idea running on the tongue trail. of a character who justifies and legitimizes the practices of white supremacy.
And it doesn’t matter if Virginia’s next Attorney General is Latino, or that Youngkin may have won over 50% of the Latin American vote.
But, yes, it was secret members of the KKK who elected a white businessman, a black lieutenant governor and a Latino AG.
You can’t make that up.
Return to Kenosha: Maybe, just maybe, the story is that eyewitnesses testified during the trial there that Rittenhouse certainly no hero was acting in self-defense. Maybe the media and the President should stop taking sides in declaring defendants like Rittenhouse racist or guilty until their innocence is proven.
The word “racist” itself has lost much of its impact, having carried so much weight for so long.
Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial is complex. Was it self-defense? Did Rittenhouse cause the incident by throwing himself into a dangerous riot while carrying a large gun? Like everything else, the country is divided on these issues.
Race is not at the center of the Rittenhouse affair. But the media are shouting it anyway. Again.
