SURAT: 22-year-old first-year B.Ed student died after losing consciousness at a cafe in Surat, Gujarat and her relatives alleged that a youth from another religious community who had accompanied her was responsible of death.

An official from the Khatodara police station said on Tuesday that, so far, an accidental death case has been recorded in the incident that took place on Monday evening.

“The woman went to the cafe with a youth and was admitted to the civilian hospital after falling unconscious. She died shortly after being admitted. The body was sent for an autopsy,” the commissioner said. Deputy Police Kishor Baloliya.

Meanwhile, a relative of the woman claimed the youth accompanying her was responsible for the death and fled the hospital after admitting her.

“We started looking for her after she didn’t come home from college until late in the evening. Her phone was also off. At 9 p.m., a police officer informed us of the whole incident,” the official said. parent.

The parent alleged that the youth has been harassing her for some time now and may have poisoned her.
