South Dakota Mines fined by RMAC conference for racist comments made at football game

RAPID CITY, SD (KOTA) – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced on November 24 that it has fined South Dakota Mines for racist comments made during a Colorado Mesa and Mines football game on the 13th. November.

The RMAC conference said the racist comments from the stands were directed at CMU Mavericks players and that these comments “are in total contradiction to the values ​​and policies of the conference.”

South Dakota Mines staff said they removed those responsible for the racist remarks during the game and that these people were banned indefinitely from all RMAC events.
