PRINCE Charles called lawyers last night to claim he was the “royal racist” – calling them “fiction”.
Aides has denied explosive claims – made in a new US book – that Charles questioned the future skin tone of Prince Harry and Meghan’s children.

The claims appear in a new book in the United States.
The new book alleges that Charles asked his wife Camilla at breakfast, “I wonder what the kids will be like?
Camilla would have been “a little bewildered” and would have replied, “Well, absolutely gorgeous I’m sure.”
Charles reportedly lowered his voice and added, “I mean, what do you think their children’s skin tone might be?”
Last night Clarence House criticized Mr Andersen’s account.
The prince’s spokesperson told The Sun: “This is fiction and not worth commenting on further.”
The allegations appear in Christopher Andersen Brothers And Wives American book: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan, due out tomorrow.
Details of the acclaimed author’s story surfaced on the New York Post’s Page Six website yesterday – sending shockwaves around the world.
In March, Meghan told US talk show queen Oprah Winfrey that the royal family had “concerns and conversations about the blackness” of “her son Archie’s skin when he was born.”

But the person responsible was never named, with Meghan adding: “It would be very damaging for them.”
The Sun understands that the book’s claims weren’t presented to Clarence House until Friday.
Aides denied the conversation ever took place and royal lawyers were reportedly alerted.
The book’s allegations emerged hours before the BBC tonight airs the second part of its controversial documentary The Princes and the Press, presented by Republican Amol Rajan.
Palace insiders poured cold water on acquaintance with US-based Andersen of the deeply private exchanges between Charles, 73, and Camilla, 74, on Harry and Meghan’s engagement day.
An insider added: “The claims are utterly ridiculous.
“There is more to fear that commenting on this will simply sell more books than damage Charles’ reputation.”
Royal author Ingrid Seward said: “I think Charles would be very irritated and annoyed by this kind of complaint because the last thing he is is racist.
“If he made that remark, I’m sure it was in a perfectly innocent way, because anyone would ask questions about the birth of a child and what the baby would look like.”
“FULLY RIDICULOUS CLAIMS”
“I think he would be surprised if someone could attribute such a phrase to him – and I’m pretty sure Charles doesn’t even have breakfast with Camilla.”
Despite Charles’ fierce display of loyalty, Harry and Meghan’s team “did not respond to requests for comment” from Page Six.
Mr Andersen suggests that the Prince’s alleged comments on November 27, 2017 were made in all innocence.
Page Six said yesterday that the author, who has written 18 New York Times bestsellers, suggests “scheming courtiers” gave Charles’ words “a racist twist.”
The report claimed they “had reached toxic proportions” by the time Harry and Meghan were informed.
Mr Andersen adds: “The question asked by Charles echoed in a less innocent way in the halls of Buckingham Palace. “
He is said to be pointing the finger at Oprah’s explosive interview at assistants, whose gossip focused on how the royal family would ‘look at the rest of the world’ once Meghan, who is biracial, joins .
He claims that Harry later angrily confronted his father. But Charles reportedly told her he was “too sensitive about it.”
Prince William also played down the row, calling his father’s comments “lack of tact” but “no sign of racism within the family.”
Mr Andersen’s book also states that the Queen’s decision to move a portrait of Harry, Meghan and Archie off camera ahead of her 2019 Christmas speech sparked a major rift.
‘DELETED FROM FAMILY’
The author claims that Harry, 37, later told a friend that he “felt like he, Meghan and Archie were being erased from the family”.
Buckingham Palace said last night: ‘We don’t comment on books like this because it might give it some form of authority or credibility. “
Meanwhile, Mr Andersen also alleges that Harry reacted with fury when William questioned the speed of his romance with Meghan.
He claims that William, 39, told his younger brother in September 2017: “Why rush things?
But Harry replied, “Who the hell do you think you are?”
Mr Andersen says William enlisted his uncle, Earl Spencer, to try to ‘slow down’ his brother’s relationship with Meghan. But the author claimed that this had “made matters worse”.
During her interview with Oprah, Meghan, 40, claimed that Harry had participated in “several conversations” with family members who had asked about Archie’s skin color.
Harry later said: “This conversation, I’ll never share it, but at the time it was awkward. I was a little shocked.”

The Prince of Wales, 73, will represent the Queen tomorrow in a ceremony marking the Caribbean island’s transition to a republic.

Insiders fear the heckling of the skin could mar the trip – the first time a member of the Royal Family has witnessed such an event.
A source said: “It would be awful if it eclipsed what is an important and historic occasion.”
Barbados became independent in 1966 but the Queen, 95, remained its constitutional monarch.
It will become the first country to remove her as head of state since 1992.
In 2016, Charles was embarrassed on a tour of Oman when Harry and Meghan dropped their explosive statement about how they believed they were being mistreated.
Shocker on Oprah
HARRY and Meghan sparked the mystery “who was the royal racist” in their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
They claimed that a senior member of the royal family asked what the color of Archie’s skin might be, but declined to name them.
Harry later insisted it wasn’t the Queen or the Duke of Edinburgh.
Her Majesty later announced that an investigation into the allegations would be initiated.
Then Prince William was questioned by a journalist: “Is the royal family a racist family?
He replied, “We are really not a racist family.”
