Sister Wives disgusted with Kody Brown’s selfish behavior

Sister Wives fans have accused Kody Brown of being a selfish narcissist for years. However, even longtime viewers may be shocked by the Patriarch’s behavior during season 16 of the show. The show was filmed over a year ago, so some of the results are already known.

For example, fans already know that Christine and Kody’s marriage won’t last beyond this season. Plus, savvy fans on social media know their daughter, Ysabel, had surgery to correct her scoliosis last year.

However, the events leading up to the operation are only playing out on screen. In the episode aired on December 5, Ysabel confronts her father about his decision NOT to accompany him across the country for the operation.

Kody explains to the cameras that he cannot be away from the rest of the plural family for as long as the quarantine requirements (4-6 weeks) would require. Plus, he doesn’t want to risk being exposed to COVID, although he does end up getting sick at some point.

TLC’s official Twitter shared a snippet of Kody and Ysabel’s conversation. Fans responded with comments trailing Kody for his selfish behavior. And they only have one person to blame: Robyn.

When Kody Brown said he didn’t want to be away from his family, fans took it to mean he didn’t want to be away from Robyn. Long considered his “favorite” wife, Robyn receives a lot of hatred from viewers.

Several people responded to TLC’s tweet accusing Robyn of not accompanying Ysabel for surgery.

He should just say he doesn’t want to be far from Robyn because she’s pretty much the only woman he sees. Kody doesn’t go because he’s selfish. He needs to be there. He doesn’t want to stay away from his last wife for more than two weeks, Robyn is the puppeteer and he is the puppet.

One viewer even believes that if Robyn’s child needed surgery, Kody would be there.
