Omicron’s fear has everyone worried after several Bollywood figures tested positive for the coronavirus this week.
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt’s trip to Delhi on Wednesday to launch the animated poster for her upcoming film “Brahmastra” drew much criticism. She traveled with director Ayan Mukherji and her co-star boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
Some reports claimed that Bhatt was in Delhi for a film shoot and had broken quarantine rules.
On Thursday, a senior official from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed PTI that Bhatt had not broken any quarantine rules during his trip to Delhi.
The official said the 28-year-old actress tested negative before her trip and was not in quarantine. “No action is warranted if she has traveled with a negative COVID-19 report,” the official said, refuting media reports of the COVID-19 rule violation.
After Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora confirmed that they had contracted the virus earlier this week, producer-director Karan Johar’s dinner celebrating ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ 20 years at his Bandra residence was passed under. the scanner.
Kareena and Alia attended KJo’s dinner over the weekend.
The meeting was also attended by ‘Raazi’ star Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor’s wife, Maheep, among others. While Arora, Kapoor and the party host tested negative for the virus, Maheep and her daughter Shanaya contracted the virus.
BMC officials visited Sanjay’s Juhu Residence for disinfection, according to ANI. They were seen in PPE kits with masks and gloves while disinfecting the whole house.
Some reports suggest the Covid chain of transmission started from actor-producer Sohail Khan’s wife, Seema Khan. Their 10-year-old son was also found infected on Wednesday.
The city’s civic body immediately sealed their ground in their Pali Hill apartment building as a precaution. Kapoor Khan’s home has also been sealed after his housekeeper tested positive for the deadly virus.
No other high-risk person or close contact with Bollywood figures had tested positive for COVID-19 since Thursday morning.
