Chris Noth lost a deal to sell his brand of tequila, valued at an estimated $ 12 million, after multiple sexual assault allegations were brought against him.
Last week, The Hollywood Reporter and The Daily Beast published interviews with a total of three women who accused the actor of sexually assaulting them, allegations the movie star has vehemently denied.
The fallout saw the immediate removal of its Peloton ad from the social media accounts of the fitness brand and Ryan Reynolds, who produced the clip.
And now plans to sell Noth’s brand of tequila, called Ambhar, to Entertainment Arts Research for $ 12 million have been canceled in light of the allegations, the company told the New York Post.
“We thought it would be in our best interest to withdraw from the transaction,” said Bernard Rubin, CEO of the company. “It would have been disastrous for us.

Newsweek has reached out to a representative for Noth for comment.
On Thursday, The Hollywood Reporter published an article in which one woman claimed to have been sexually assaulted by Noth in 2004, while another accused the actor of behaving similarly towards her in 2015.
Noth said in a statement responding to the allegations: “The accusations made against me by people I met years, if not decades ago, are categorically false.
“These stories could have been 30 years or 30 days ago – no always means no – that’s a line I didn’t cross. The meetings were consensual. It’s hard not to question when these stories came out. I don’t know for sure why they are resurfacing now, but I know this: I did not assault these women. “
Life In Pieces actress Zoe Lister-Jones responded to the allegations by accusing the actor of “sexually inappropriate” behavior as she recounted her own interactions with him over the past years.
