Sheheryar Munawar responded to criticism of Sinf-e-Aahan’s apparent lack of Sindhi representation

Sinf-e-Aahan actor Sheheryar Munawar responded to online criticism of the show’s apparent lack of Sindhi portrayal on Sunday, calling on people to “rise above regional prejudices.”

On a recent Facebook post from Sheheryar which features him in the character of Sinf-e-Aahan as Major Usama, one user asked, “Why isn’t there a Sindhi female role in this drama?”

The question seems to stem from the fact that the series features women from almost every other province in Pakistan, including Balochistan, KPK and Punjab.

However, this upset Sheheryar, who replied, “I am really surprised by some of the comments here and really disappointed with the scattered and siled mindset of some of our employees.”

“Rise above your regional prejudices and still see Pakistan as a unit instead of separating it on the basis of caste, color or religion! ” he added.

The Parey Hut Love actor then concluded, “Finally, always do your homework before spreading anarchy among the masses. Always focus on the message being delivered instead of trying to steer away from it!”
