I am so tired of all the journalists criticizing the medical experts. Here’s a news flash… they don’t have a crystal ball. They might not be right all the time, but it’s unprecedented, so there’s absolutely no way they are with evidence and data that changes by nanosecond.

Granted, some of the recommendations were really a little offbeat – masks won’t help – and maybe, at times, they need to shed a different light on that advice, but it’s a little out of hand. Try to be in their shoes – they give life and death advice, and take the time to do so to try to protect us knowing that advice affects life and death, while really having no idea. no choice but to err on the side of safety. . No one knows about this thing or where it’s going – all they can do is do their best based on the information they have.

This constant criticism is extremely unnecessary, so maybe it’s time to give her some rest. I have to wonder about the press because in many situations their questions are dumber than advice. They ask (often ridiculously hypothetical) questions that only a fortune teller could answer.

My mask and gloves almost fell off when I saw that we were closing everything for six people again in hospitals with COVID. When is this madness going to end? They may have to close the ski slopes if too many people break bones.

The public needs the help of the media. If you want to push the kids, I’m up for it. I have five grandchildren. We need the power of the press. Tell the government that instead of billions being spent on test kits and other waste, the money should be spent on schools.

Let us demand that schools spare no expense and immediately start working in every school in Canada, installing the best of ventilation systems. The contracts had better be booked yesterday if the work has to be done in the summer.

It is up to you, our voice, to demand safe schools. Let the children be children again. Money well spent.

After reading it I was like, “Yeah, let’s wait until tomorrow and see.”

The next day, I reread the newspaper and your editorial.
