The Seahawks lost Sunday’s game to the Bears for several reasons. One of the main causes of the loss was a 39-yard misfire by kicker Jason Myers in the fourth quarter.
To his credit, Myers accepts responsibility for the miss. He took to Twitter on Monday night and said it was his.
Myers is only half right, however.
Yeah, making that placement probably means the Seahawks win that particular game. However, this is only a small mistake in what has become a season under siege by them. The franchise quarterback just isn’t playing at the high level we’ve grown used to, which revealed a roster that has rotted away thanks to a string of poor GM’s draft classes as well as approaching. The head coach’s fundamentally flawed towards modern play which has resulted in a ridiculous imbalance between his offense and the workload of the defense.
Myers now has 13/19 (68.4%) on field goal attempts for the season, which is pretty bad. He was a perfect 24/7 in 2020, but so it’s reasonable to believe he can bounce back and have a better 2022 campaign. The rest of the squad around him is another matter, however.
Major changes are needed. Period.
