Lawyers demand proof of Prince Andrew’s sweatless allegations

Prince Andrew has been asked to provide documents proving his “alleged medical inability to sweat” in a case filed by lawyers for Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who charged the royal with sexual assault in a US civil lawsuit.

In the court document filed Thursday, Giuffre’s lawyers are also asking for all documents relating to anyone Andrew met at a Pizza Express restaurant in Woking, England, or Club Tramp nightclub in London, and his trip to and from these places.

In her lawsuit, Giuffre alleges that she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and forced to have sex with her friends – including the Prince – and that Andrew knew she was a minor (17) in United States. Prince Andrew strongly denies the allegations.

In a 2019 BBC interview, Andrew said he took his eldest daughter to a pizzeria party on the night of 2001 when it was alleged that he had sex with Giuffre. He also said in the interview that for many years he couldn’t sweat, contradicting Giuffre’s claims that he sweated profusely before having sex in London when she was 17.

“I have no recollection of ever having met this lady,” he said of Giuffre.

In allegations made before his complaint was filed, Giuffre alleges that in 2001, Epstein took her to London, where she was introduced to Prince Andrew and went dancing at a nightclub with Epstein, his girlfriend from the time Ghislaine Maxwell and the prince.

In a BBC interview also aired in 2019, Giuffre said she was taken to the Tramp nightclub where, according to Giuffre, Andrew asked her to dance and she was “sweating all over me”.

Giuffre’s attorneys have also demanded all documents regarding Andrew’s trip to or from, or his presence on Epstein’s planes, in Florida, New York, New Mexico and the US Virgin Islands, according to their filing. Thursday, as well as records relating to “any gifts or other valuables” received by Andrew from Epstein or Maxwell “including, but not limited to puppets.”

“Whether Prince Andrew really has no records regarding his communications with Maxwell or Epstein, his trip to Florida, New York or various places in London, his alleged medical inability to sweat, or anything that would support the alibis he he gave during his interview with the BBC, so continuing the discovery will not be a burden at all ”, indicates the file.

Oral pleadings in the case are scheduled for Jan.4, where lawyers for the 61-year-old prince are expected to argue for dismissal of the lawsuit.

Andrew’s legal team claimed in a petition filed Tuesday that the court did not have jurisdiction over the case. Lawyers for Giuffre said the petition “had no basis in law or in fact” and urged the court to dismiss it, according to the court filing on Thursday.

U.S. judges have also ruled that a 2009 confidential settlement agreement between Epstein and Giuffre, which may also refer to Prince Andrew, is expected to be made public next week.

Maxwell, a British socialite, was convicted on Wednesday by a New York jury of five counts relating to her role in Epstein’s sexual abuse of underage girls.
