A shocking sound emerged, revealing that the leader of the Ahmadiyya community encouraged a relative to bury the rape allegations.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad can be clearly heard telling the woman, Nida Ul Nasser, to drop a sexual abuse complaint after she complains to him.

Ahmad told Nasser, 36, in a conversation in Urdu, “My advice will be that you drop this case, even if the rape took place, and I don’t know if it happened or not. Even if that was the case, I’m sure those involved would have already asked Allah for forgiveness.

Nida Ul Nasser is the granddaughter of the former Caliph Mirza Tahir Ahmad. Mirza Masroor Ahmad and Nida Ul Nasser are both British nationals and live in London.

The conversation took place in July of last year, was recorded by Nida Ul Nasser and made public in December.

A formal complaint for multiple cases of sexual abuse has been filed with the investigating police.

The Ahmadiyya community did not dispute the authenticity of the audio but denies that their leader attempted to bury the allegations of sexual abuse.

Conversation between Ahmad and Nasser

5Pillars translated key snippets from the conversation:

Nida Ul Nasser: You ask me to keep silent about (sexual abuse), although Allah asked us to hide the sins of our fellow Muslims but He never asked a victim to keep silent about it. oppression / exploitation she suffered. .

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: It is written that you have to hide obscenity / indecency, except if you have experienced some oppression / exploitation you can raise these issues but on a suitable platform and you have to send a request appropriate detailing the story of yourself in pursuit of justice. It is proven by the Qur’an and the Hadiths that when Prophet SAW would get cases like these, he would ignore these things and ask people to end the cases unless both parties agree to accept the blame. And if a party does not show up and accept the blame, then there is no punishment in the Sunnah.

Nida Ul Nasser: But the evidence / proof that I have provided to you is clear whether you accept it or not.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: This is not evidence / evidence. When the Prophet SAW asked whether the other accepts the blame or not, and when told that he does not accept, the Prophet did nothing after that. I can not do anything about it.

Nida Ul Nasser: No, no, I have sent you several verses in which Allah commands when there is oppression / exploitation and if you have to testify, become a witness against your parents.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: To get justice for rape, you will need a witness, according to Sharia law.

Nida Ul Nasser: On Al Islam (Ahmadiyya’s official website), it says the opposite.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: You need four witnesses, whether male or female, to get justice, you need four witnesses.

Nida Ul Nasser: It’s for adultery not for rape.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: Adultery, rape, there is no difference.

Nida Ul Nasser: No, no. Absolutely not.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: Do you know more than I do? Listen to me, listen to what I’m saying, you talk to yourself and don’t listen to me.

Nida Ul Nasser: But the evidence I presented is at least 12 indecencies

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: As far as I know, you also need witnesses for rape.

Nida Ul Nasser: Anyone who has seen this cat and this text will tell you that no UK court will accept that there is no indecency in them. I am clear on this.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: There is nothing called clear and when it gets to a UK court we will see that when you appeal a UK national to UK court. My advice will be that you drop this case even though the rape did happen, and I don’t know if it happened or not. Even if that was the case, I’m sure those involved would have already asked Allah for forgiveness.

Nida Ul Nasser: No, no, no. There’s no way I’m leaving this under any circumstances.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: Well, I advise you to leave this case.

Nida Ul Nasser: Your advice is wrong and goes against Islam.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: Well, I say you leave this because you gave me Bayat (allegiance).

Nida Ul Nasser: I think you are compromised, someone else put you in a difficult situation somehow. If you weren’t compromised, you wouldn’t say these things that are not of the caliph’s caliber.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: What is the point of staying in my Bay’at if you believe that I am saying things that are not of my caliber and that are incorrect and un-Islamic teachings?

Nida Ul Nasser: It is my choice and you cannot dictate my Bay’at.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: Well, the choice is yours.

Nida Ul Nasser: When it comes to the world, I have someone I know in the Huffington Post, and when the world reads about it, you handle it the way you want it to.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: There is already one problem with touring on social media, it will be another, the world will talk for four days and you better shut up.

Nida Ul Nasser: You intimidate others to keep silent, you want me to be silent but you cannot intimidate me. You are a tyrant.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad: I give you a pious advice to remain silent.

Nida Ul Nasser: You never asked me about the evidence or anything. I have told you several times in my letters that I have proof, you never asked for it. Then I imposed them on you.

Ahmadiyya response

In July, Nasser lodged a complaint with the London Metropolitan Police, which confirmed an investigation was underway.

“On July 22, 2021, police received a number of allegations of historic sexual assault which allegedly took place in Wandsworth, Surrey and Dorset between 1987 and 2012. Detectives from the South West Public Protection Team Met investigate. A man has been questioned on bail and investigations are continuing, ”police said.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK told 5Pillars: “In no event did His Holiness, who addressed the complainant as the eldest of her family, prevent the complainant from pursuing her allegations to the police or through the legal process. In fact, after this private conversation, His Holiness referred the whole matter to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK (AMA UK) for immediate investigation and necessary action.

“In response, AMA UK promptly informed the Metropolitan Police as soon as AMA UK was made aware of the matter and has cooperated fully with the police since. In addition, no punitive action was ever taken against the complainant when she reported the matter to the police.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad, 71, is the current and fifth leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community. His official title within the movement is Fifth Caliph of Messiah. He was elected on April 22, 2003, three days after the death of his predecessor Mirza Tahir Ahmad.

Based in London since his election, he has traveled extensively around the world to meet members of the community and address their annual gatherings.

Masroor Ahmad has frequently met with Heads of State in different parts of the world and has delivered keynote addresses to the United States Congress, the European Parliament, the Houses of Parliament of the United Kingdom, the Parliament of Canada and the Dutch Parliament. .

The Ahmadiyya movement was founded in India under British rule in the 19th century by Ghulam Ahmad. Considered heretics by traditional Muslims, Ahmadis claim to represent “true Islam” and say their founder was the “Promised Messiah”.

All mainstream Muslim scholars are unanimous that Ahmad’s claims are in direct conflict with Islam, which declares that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was the last Prophet and that none will come after him.
