Mikko Koskinen hits back at Tippett, Oilers over recent criticism

Tippett calling Koskinen publicly was not a good move and Koskinens’ response shows exactly why. Tippett took heat for saying what he said and now the goalie is taking heat for throwing his teammates under the bus because they don’t help him by scoring goals. It has become a point-and-finger game and it can’t be good for the morale of the team.

Everyone, including Koskinen, probably knows this season will be for him in the Oilers uniform. The team will either try to trade it in or buy it back. They will certainly let his contract expire if neither of these things happen before the summer. But, when they come out, the last thing the Oilers need is that kind of tension, especially since the team are struggling with 10 losses in their last 12 games.
