Man was kicked off train for yelling at children … but many blame their mother for it all

A mom was ‘shaken up’ after a man was kicked off a train for yelling at her children – but others argued that she was the only one to blame.

Speaking to Reddit, the woman revealed that she traveled to see her uncle over the New Years alongside her two children, aged four and seven.

She went on to explain that since the train was fairly empty and her children were tired, she saw no problem in sitting in some seats marked as reserved.

That was until the rightful seat owner showed up and asked his daughter to leave her seat.

She explained, “I had watched this guy be rude to the other passengers and was quite angry that he spoke to my daughter in the same way, rather than looking at me and asking politely.”

The mother explains that she told the man to try to find another seat as there was nowhere else her daughter could sit.

She continued, “He walks away mumbling and I assumed he was going to sit down but he came back a few minutes later with a member of staff and was screaming at that point how we stole his seats.” which he had paid money for and we weren’t even supposed to be on the train.

“The woman checked our tickets and I explained to her that we were just tired and didn’t think it would have been a problem to sit on the seats when the train was not full.

“To his fury, the woman told us not to worry and also suggested that he sit somewhere else. He started shouting that we had stolen his seat and that the kids weren’t above the law.

“Long story short, he was told he had to get off the train at the next stop because he was not welcome on the service. At this point my two kids were pretty shaken up and regretted the whole trip but wasn’t sure what to do even at this point.

The mother ended her message by asking her if she was wrong, and the majority of fellow Redditors were quick to tell her she was.

Commenting on the post, one of them wrote: “He paid for this seat, and your level of entitlement is astounding.

“I am honestly shocked that the staff member so blatantly sided with you. If the train “wasn’t so full” why would you want to sit in the reserved seats? “

Okay another added: “Just because YOU didn’t book early enough and YOU couldn’t find seats together for YOUR family, another person who reserved the seat needs to be removed so YOU don’t stand? “

“One way to teach your children to be entitled,” said a third.
