After many shadows from Lala Kent about her finances (or lack thereof), Brock Davies was shown buying his future fiancée / co-star Scheana Shay an engagement ring in the recent episode of Vanderpump Rules. Specifically, a morganite ring estimated at $ 25,000. It looked quite beautiful, but some Bravo viewers reacted with disdain that it was not a real diamond ring. Shay has since hit back at all the criticism on social media.
In fact, there has been a flurry of responses from the Vanderpump Rules alum on his Twitter. For those who pointed out the engagement ring’s lack of diamonds in favor of morganite, Scheana Shay wrote that it was “still 12.74 carats” and asked why the exact stone was important. She even had shady help from co-star Ariana Madix in the comments, who said that “people with diamond superiority complexes” make her laugh.
The reality TV star – who gave birth to their first child in April – continued in a different tweet that she didn’t actually want a Brock Davies diamond engagement ring because Morganites “have so many sense”. When a supporter kindly wrote that a ring donated by someone you love is all that matters, she replied, “LITERALLY! But she clarified the ring’s estimated value to another fan who suggested Davies “got ripped off”, saying:
It is nothing like mine. Mine is a rare pale pink stone. In addition, he did not pay $ 25,000. He got a really good deal. What the ring is worth and what he paid for are very different and I have the papers to prove it. 💍 https://t.co/02ZSDZhOU96 January 2022

Bravo veterans are pretty much experts at this point in the art of overshadowing enemies online – well, most of them, anyway. (Real Salt Lake City housewives Mary Cosby may want to take down her social media much like her reality TV career.) Scheana Shay, however, has struggled with engagement ring reviews and post-pregnancy shampoos. Likewise, from the network’s Southern Charm show, Madison LeCroy is targeting her famous one-liners at “pitiful” viewers who talk about her various bodily procedures.
Lately, Brock Davies has been at the center of most of the drama in Vanderpump Rules Season 9. Co-star Lala Kent has made it known that Davies has previously been charged with domestic violence and had not seen her first children in years. They apparently buried the hatchet at the time, but, following the spread of Kent’s shady confessionals, the newcomer is decidedly done with his shenanigans.
As Scheana Shay’s engagement plans unfold on the show this year, viewers simultaneously see the final stages of Lala Kent’s 3-year engagement with Randall Emmett. (In addition to the short-lived engagement between James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss.) Kent has broken up with her man after allegations of cheating surfaced online. Still, the star is apparently doing so well now that she has even expressed that she would thank the women who were allegedly involved with Emmett.
Lala Kent may actually be leaving Vanderpump Rules after five seasons on the reality TV series due to such a discord with her co-stars. And oddly enough, in one of her last reaction tweets, Scheana Shay shared that she and Brock Davies “had an idea” regarding the suggestion fans made that they should have their own show. The cast will seriously drop like flies if that turns out to be legitimate … For more on Shay, Davies and the cast, stay tuned for the next episodes airing on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST!
