Editor’s Note: In 2021, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing restaurants and food attractions in the Valley of Lebanon as food critics in the Valley of Lebanon. Since then, the couple have aimed to provide unbiased reviews of the dining establishments that the Valley of Lebanon has to offer. After playing Santa Claus all day (literally and figuratively), no one in our house wanted to cook, and it was getting late. So we decided to head to the village of Quentin on Main Street and the Quentin Tavern Restaurant.

Whether you eat inside or on the terrace, you are rarely disappointed when you dine here. Although their menu has grown considerably smaller since the start of the pandemic, they still cook great meals.
One of my favorite dishes here is unfortunately not on the menu right now: the pierogi roast dish with a horseradish cream sauce. It was so tasty and I often want it. I once imitated it in my own kitchen and while it was delicious it just doesn’t compare to the one at Quentin Tavern. I hope they see this, make my wish come true, and it will come back!
Since I couldn’t get my favorite dish, I opted for another pasta dish. I made a little mistake when ordering the absolute seafood pasta as I didn’t specify the small ones. When he came out, I realized my mistake. It was a large part that seems to be able to feed a family of four. It does not matter, because I am not afraid of leftovers!
The absolute seafood pasta.
This linguini pasta dish is topped with a vodka cream sauce and tossed with a generous serving of crab meat and shrimp. I ate a quarter of the meal (with the help of our little reviewer who loved the shrimp!), Brought what was left home and took out three more meals!
The salad that came with it was just as delicious, I went for a blue vinaigrette, and it was a perfect choice.
Our second course was one of the tavern’s specialties: chicken and waffles. Two fluffy Belgian waffles were covered with pieces of chicken, vegetables and sauce. The meal was satisfactory but the reviewer wanted a crispier and spicier waffle. The sauce itself was bland but we got plenty of portions.

There was a side dish included with the meal, and this reviewer chose a side salad to go with it.
The side salad.
Our opinion: Quentin Tavern offers an eclectic menu that will appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Beyond the standard pub fare, they offer premium entrees. The quality of the food stands out. They offer several indoor and outdoor dining options, even with their open, heated patio (and igloos are back this year). Seats can be tight inside, but that’s how it’s supposed to be. The staff are friendly and efficient.
