Speaking to Twitter on Tuesday, Auraiya SP Abhishek Verma revealed that he spoke to the BJP chief who assured him he was safe and at his Etawah residence. Auraiya SP Abhishek Verma noted, “Today, police found a viral video on social media in which MP Vinay Shakya’s daughter Riya Shakya claimed MP Vinay Shakya was forcibly taken to Lucknow by his brother Devesh Shakya and their mother. Police have investigated this matter. I personally spoke to the MP via video call and it was discovered that he was with family members at his Etawah residence in Shanti settlement.
“His security personnel, that is to say two police officers, were also present there. A deputy non-commissioned SP officer is present at his residence in Etawah. He said the lawmaker is safe and at home. The video on social networks is unfounded, ”he added. .
