Hyderabad: Taking umbrage at a woman’s allegation for an alleged extra-marital affair with the latter’s husband, a woman committed suicide in Dabeerpura on Tuesday.
According to the police, Parveen Begum (30) worked as a housekeeper and lived in Osmanpura within the boundaries of Dabeerpura police station. On Monday evening, a woman came to her house and argued, accusing her of being in an extramarital affair with her husband.
“After the quarrel, the woman left and Parveen, who was alone in the house, consumed a poisonous substance. She was transferred to hospital where she died,” Dabeerpura Police said. Family members said Parveen slipped into depression after accusations and may have used a toxic substance.
