CHANDIGARH: A senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of Punjab and opposition leader Harpal Singh Cheema welcoming the statement made by Deputy Chief Minister and Congress Leader Sukhwinder Singh Randhawa in which Randhawa admitted that the alliance continued between politicians and drug traffickers in Punjab.
Cheema called on Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Congress State Speaker Navjot Singh Sidhu, Former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and other Congress leaders to stop worrying about Punjab now that the people of Punjab have decided to hand over the reins of the state to the Aam Aadmi party with the belief that it will solve all the problems of the state including the mafia issue.
In a statement released on Sunday from party headquarters, Harpal Singh Cheema said, “The Aam Aadmi Party has long alleged that ruling party leaders and other ministers in Punjab have colluded with drug traffickers.” Members of Parliament and other members of government encourage and offer shelter and protection to drug traffickers. This is why the threat of drugs is spreading its tentacles in Punjab which young people are falling into,” Cheema said.
These parties and political leaders ran the state and sponsored all kinds of mafias. The drug traffickers had been operating unchecked for a long time, but neither the Akali Dal Badal nor the Congress government had taken any measures to curb these traffickers, as the rulers themselves condescended with the drug traffickers.
Harpal Singh Cheema accused ruling party leaders Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Charanjit Singh Channi, Captain Amarinder Singh that members of Congress failed to sever ties with drug traffickers nor punish criminals with sacrilege Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The culprits as well as the conspirators behind the sacrilege must be punished, Cheema said.
As the citizens of Punjab are concerned about their condition, they have decided to give Aam Aadmi Party a chance to break the alliance between politicians and drug dealers. And also to reduce pressing issues including drugs, alcohol, transportation, cable, and the state land mafia.
