ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) estranged leader Jahangir Tareen’s group on Thursday rejected the allegation that its MNAs have gone missing, says that the MNAs are in Islamabad and will exercise their right to vote on the no-trust move.
Ahead of the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan PTI’s disgruntled member of the National Assembly Raja Riaz claimed that around 24 members of the PTI are currently staying at the Sindh House, and if Prime Minister Imran Khan assures all MNAs that no action will be taken against those who decided to vote against him on the day of the no-confidence motion, they are ready to go back to the Parliament Lodges.
Speaking to a private tv channel, PTI MNAs Malik Nawab Sher Waseer and Riaz said that around 24 PTI members have been staying in the Sindh House right now. He further said that many other PTI members are ready to come here, however, PML-N is unable to accommodate all the members.
Earlier, Raja Riaz issued a statement saying that they haven’t gone missing but are still in the federal capital and will exercise their right to vote during voting on the no-trust move.
The lawmaker said that PTI is in these circumstances due to incompetent advisors. He appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan to take steps to tackle inflation and corruption in the country.
Raja Riaz said that it is unfortunate that using foul language has become a trademark of PTI and it is unreasonable that party leaders believe in abusing opponents.
The statement of Raja Riaz comes after it was alleged that the opposition is hiding several lawmakers of the ruling party in Islamabad’s Sindh House ahead of voting on a no-confidence motion.
