Biden can’t deflect blame for US problems

Editor:

Hardly a day goes by when we do not hear President Joe Biden blaming Russian President Vladimir Putin or someone else for the ills of the world.

Inflation, energy and the Mexican border are occupying much of his time and effort.Jobs are going begging. By opening our border, we will have an abundance of skilled and trained workers filling all those vacant jobs. Won’t we?

As for inflation, we had that problem many years ago. I recall that President Ronald Reagan dealt with it by reducing the growth of government spending, cutting taxes and tightening the money supply. It worked. Biden assured us inflation could be licked if we hand out more money, raise taxes and come up with more government spending. Come on, man.

The energy problem will be solved if we all scrap our gas-powered vehicles and buy electric cars. This will happen once the government starts a massive program in which banks make low-interest subsidized loans available. Until this is implemented, our friends at OPEC, Iran, Libya and Venezuela will ensure we have enough reasonably priced crude oil available.

What this country needs is a white knight who will grab the bull by the horns and do something rather than blame someone else. Someone who will cut taxes and will not enact more expensive programs that only make a bad situation worse.

I wonder who that white knight will be. Certainly not a Biden second term or a return of President Barack Obama.
